Jamestown’s New Corporate Sales Manager
We are excited to announce that Steve Dumont has joined Jamestown Technologies as the division’s Corporate Sales Manager. In this newly created position, Steve will be responsible for working closely with our in-house marketing group, field sales representatives, service technicians, and office and production staffs to promote our diversified line of cooling, boiler, and waste water treatment products to prominent industrial, commercial, and institutional accounts located throughout New England and the Tri-State Area.
Steve brings to us a wealth of valuable direct marketing and sales experience from his 18 plus years in the water treatment industry, most recently with the Nalco and ChemTreat, both global marketers of commercial products, equipment, and water conservation practices. In his time with each of these companies, Steve held many key field sales and management positions, including Connecticut Sales Representative and New England District Manager. In these positions, Steve completed the sales of many large scale water treatment programs to key industrial and commercial accounts within his territory, and provided service-based solutions to customer’s most troublesome problems. During his tenure in these positions, Steve increased annual sales volumes by over 800%, grew the customer client based by over 500%, and improved overall profit margins by nearly 10%.
As Corporate Sales Manager, Steve will engage in a wide variety of marketing sales activities to promote Jamestown’s line of innovative technologies, including ourSolid Solutions® line of Green cooling and boiler water concentrates, and our TanninTech® line of Green boiler water treatment programs for energy savings in conventional steam boilers and for corrosion and deposit control in aluminum and stainless steel condensing boilers. Steve will also be working with customers and prospects to complete Water Management Programs needed to comply with newly enacted New York City regulations and ASHRAE-188 standards for the control of Legionnaires Disease in cooling towers and other water handling devices.
Steve graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. After graduation, Steve participated in the Army’s Ranger, Airborne, Infantry Officer and Flight Schools, and served as a Captain and Pilot for Cobra Attack Helicopters, and Aviation Assistant Battalion Officer in the famed 82nd
Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. After his military service, Steve served as a member, Board Member, Vice-President and President of the West Point Society of Connecticut and the West point Society of New York. Steve resides in Southbury, CT with his wife, twin teenage daughters, and teen age son. We are all extremely excited to have Steve on board with us here at Jamestown and are look forward to working closely with him to develop new programs and strategies to increase our name recognition within our targeted marketplaces, foster new business relationships with key corporate decision makers and, most importantly, increase sales for our important cooling, boiler and waste water treatment product lines.
